  • Blake Kane

    Head Coach, Boys 14U Select

    With more than 20 years of coaching experience, Blake Kane brings a deep commitment to player development at 35 Select Soccer. 


    He holds a U.S. Soccer National “C” License and has coached at 35 Select, Northfield Soccer Club, Rochester Lourdes High School, and currently leads the Northfield High School Girls Varsity program. 


    As a player, Blake competed collegiately at Gustavus Adolphus College and earned first team MSHSSCA All State honors in high school. He has also served administratively, including six years on the Northfield Soccer Club executive board. 


    Blake’s coaching philosophy emphasizes guided discovery, positive reinforcement, and meaningful game experiences that help players grow as athletes and individuals.



  • Nicky Vazquez

    Head Coach, Boys 16U Select

    Nicky Vazquez brings eight years of coaching experience to 35 Select Soccer, with a strong foundation built through his work with Northfield Soccer Club across age groups U10–U18. 


    He also serves as an assistant coach for the Northfield High School Boys Varsity team, contributing to three consecutive Section 1AA championships and multiple state tournament appearances. 


    Nicky is currently pursuing his USSF “D” License and is dedicated to continuous growth as a coach. 


    A lifelong Northfield resident, he blends community pride with a disciplined, analytical approach shaped by his academic background in Electric Power Technology. Nicky is committed to helping players reach their full potential on and off the field.



  • Tim Bohnenkamp

    Technical Trainer

    Tim Bohnenkamp serves as a contracted Technical Trainer and Advisor to 35 Select Soccer Club, delivering specialized technical training and advisory expertise to elevate player and program development. 


    Tim played at Creighton University (2004–2008) and was then drafted by the San Jose Earthquakes in the 2008 MLS Supplemental Draft (first pick, second round). He has served as an assistant coach at Hastings College (NE) before becoming an assistant coach in his first stint at Shattuck-St. Mary's.


    Bohnenkamp then took on the assistant coach role at Rollins College. He also previously served as Director of Coaching for Papillion Soccer Club (NE) and as an assistant at the University of Nebraska Omaha men's program. 


    In 2022, Bohnenkamp returned to Shattuck-St. Mary's where he is the U15 Boys Head Coach at the schools Soccer Center of Excellence. 


    In his unique role with 35 Select, he applies his championship experience, technical innovation, and player development prowess to support the club's high-performance goals.



  • Aaron Fenton

    Coaching / Executive Director


    Aaron Fenton serves as the Executive and Coaching Director for 35 Select Soccer, bringing extensive experience in player and coach development. 


    He previously held leadership roles with Lakeville Soccer Club as Technical Director and Eden Prairie Soccer Club as Youth Director and has worked with the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program. Aaron also coached in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy at Shattuck St. Mary’s. 


    A Texas native, he began his coaching career in Kentucky and later served as Director of Coaching at PAO West Kentucky Soccer Club. He holds a USSF National License and multiple advanced diplomas from United Soccer Coaches. Aaron also leads the Rosemount High School Boys program after seven successful years at Lakeville South. 


    He lives in Lakeville with his wife, Alyssa, and their son, Leo, and is committed to elevating the 35 Select experience for every player.

  • Grace Loffler

    Head Coach, Girls 15U Select

    Grace Loffler grew up in New Prague, Minnesota, where 16 years of playing experience shaped her love for the game and her player centered coaching style. 


    She began coaching in 2021 and now serves as the Girls Competitive Director for New Prague Soccer Club, supporting coaches and guiding player development across all levels. Grace holds a U.S. Soccer Grassroots License and is committed to ongoing education. 


    Outside of soccer, she is pursuing a BSN with a minor in Psychology and works in the Emergency Room as a PCT—experience that strengthens her communication, empathy, and calm leadership on the field. 


    She is grateful to be part of 35 Select and passionate about helping players grow in skill, confidence, and character.



  • Cory Wagner

    Head Coach, Girls 17U Select

    Cory Wagner grew up in Bloomington and Farmington, Minnesota, where he developed a strong competitive spirit as a multi sport athlete. 


    He has coached with New Prague Soccer Club for five years, leading Girls U12–U16 teams and also serves on the New Prague High School Boys coaching staff, working with C Squad, JV, and Varsity teams. 


    Cory joined 35 Select in 2024 and has contributed to the club’s rapid growth and development. He lives in the New Prague area with his wife and three daughters and works as a Construction Superintendent in the Twin Cities. 


    Cory is passionate about creating positive, competitive environments where players can challenge themselves and enjoy the game.



  • Paul O’Connor

    Goalkeeping Coach

    Paul O’Connor serves as the Head Goalkeeper Coach for 35 Select Soccer, bringing elite playing and coaching experience from youth, collegiate, professional, and international levels. 


    A native of England, Paul developed in Newcastle United’s elite program before signing professionally with Leicester City FC and later earning multiple honors with clubs such as Blyth Spartans and Hartlepool United. 


    His coaching career includes roles with Leicester City FC’s Centre of Excellence, Minnesota Thunder, and Minnesota United (NASL), where he served as First Team Goalkeeper Coach from 2013–2016. Paul also founded POGA, a goalkeeper academy serving athletes from youth to professional levels. 


    He holds a USSF “B” License and multiple United Soccer Coaches diplomas, and is committed to developing confident, technically strong players in a positive, challenging environment.
